What Is the JMS CAVEO® Safety Fistula Needle?

The CAVEO® is an advanced AV fistula needle for hemodialysis featuring a patented integrated foot plate mechanism. If venous needle dislodgement occurs during treatment, the footplate opens immediately, obstructing blood flow pathway and creating a rapid pressure increase within the venous line.

This rapid pressure change is detected by the dialysis machine’s alarm monitoring system, prompting an automatic blood pump shutdown within seconds.
